If you received an email about a password reset request, then someone likely entered your username at https://scratch.mit.edu/accounts/password_reset/, which triggered the email you received. This isn't anything to worry about! Since you received the email, that means that whoever requested the reset did not receive the link to reset the account password.
However, if you received an email saying that your password has been changed but you did not change your password, you should take further action. Please change your password immediately at https://scratch.mit.edu/accounts/password_change/ if this is the email you received. If you are not able to change your password there, please reach out to us via the Contact Us form (Click the "Back" button until you return to the search bar, and then click "Contact Us" below the popular help articles).
If you are using a Teacher Account, please look at the username indicated in the email. Because your students all share your email, the password reset may be from a student account.
