Scratch runs on most modern web browsers on desktops, laptops, and tablets. You can view projects on mobile phones, but Scratch does not currently support creating or editing projects on phones. Additionally, some projects cannot be interacted with via mobile phone.
Scratch develops features based on the Baseline Widely Available unified quality standard. Scratch features on scratch.mit.edu are supported on versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari browsers released within the last 30 months (2.5 years), on any operating system supported by those browsers. Scratch may run on other browsers, but they are not officially supported.
Recommended Operating Systems for scratch.mit.edu:
Windows 10 version 1709 or higher
macOS 10.13 or higher
iOS version 10 or higher (Tablets only)
Android 8.0 or higher (Tablets only)
Scratch App Requirements:
The Scratch App for macOS supports macOS 12 and higher
The Scratch App for Windows supports Windows 10 and higher
The Scratch App for Android & ChromeOS supports Android 8.0 and higher, on tablets and Chromebooks
Notes:
- If you encounter a WebGL error, try a different browser.
- On tablets, there is currently no way to use "key pressed" blocks or right-click context menus.
