With tens of millions of Scratchers around the world, Scratch has grown into a global community where kids like you express themselves, explore ideas, and build friendships through creative coding. We’re now exploring new AI-powered tools to support this community with even more ways to create.
The tools we’re imagining will help you with things like exploring ideas, understanding code, or getting unstuck – not to do the creating for you. Your imagination, decisions, and voice will always come first. You can learn more about our approach to AI here.
When people use Scratch, we learn from what they create and how they explore the site. This helps us understand what’s working well and what we can improve. Occasionally, we may share anonymized and aggregated information with trusted partners to help us discover what helps you use Scratch better. We’ll use this information to improve project discovery, make onboarding into the community clearer and easier, and enhance experiences and features across Scratch for everyone.
This information will not include names or personal details, and it isn’t–and cannot be–used to identify individual Scratchers.
We’re committed to being thoughtful and transparent as we make these changes. Thanks for being part of the Scratch community.
